Technology and innovation transference from the academic world to undertake in low-density territories
With a focus on young and creative entrepreneurship, allowing the critical mass fixation in the region, the "Transfere Empreende" project, bets significantly on the knowledge transference to the market, considering both the dimension of the S&T entities and the people with high qualifications, which do not risk creating their own jobs, but also the development of the entrepreneurial spirit in the existing companies of the region, both at the level of entrepreneurs and employers (turning themselves into entrepreneurs).
In recent years, entrepreneurship has been increasingly associated and has contributed directly to the economic and social development of regions, presenting itself as an important variable to consider regarding regional economic development indicators.
Thus, BLC3 - Campus of Technology and Innovation has opened the competition for entrepreneurship grants, within the scope of the project "Transfere Empreende".
Applications are intended for highly qualified young people (minimum level of qualification: Bachelor's degree), aged between 23 and 40 years, with Portuguese nationality or living in Portugal, preferably residing of Alfândega da Fé and bordering counties.
The beneficiaries of this activity may not have any other source of income.

Similar to the one existing in Oliveira do Hospital, also in Alfândega da Fé, BLC3 has a Centre for Incubation of Ideas and Companies with a structure intended to create and develop new models of business.
The inner regions must be valorised, adding innovation and creativity to new arising ideas, allowing the differentiation of many products/services existing in the market and, consequently, increasing its economic value and generating qualified employment in the inner regions of Portugal.
Aiming at these ideas, BLC3 has formed privileged links with the academic world, regarding the areas of scientific and technological research, and human and physical resources, allowing those who come in the incubator to take advantage of BLC3 resources and receive personalized support during the initial life cycle.
O projeto dá pelo nome de Transfere Empreende: Transferência de tecnologia e inovação do meio académico para empreender em territórios de baixa densidade e resulta de uma candidatura apresentada ao Programa Operacional Regional do Norte.
O objetivo é promover o espírito empreendedor na região de Alfândega da Fé, com foco no empreendedorismo qualificado e criativo jovem, para permitir a fixação de massa crítica no concelho. O Instituto Politécnico de Bragança e a Universida de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro surgem como parceiros neste processo. A ideia é apoiar a criação de modelos de negócio/empresas associados à valorização das potencialidades do concelho com especial foco na área agroambiental e agroalimentar. O Transfere Empreende prevê a criação, nesta primeira fase, de um posto de trabalho a tempo inteiro e atribuição de 20 Bolsas de Investigação a Jovens entre os 23 e os 40 anos, desempregados, com licenciatura como nível mínimo de qualificação.
O desafio é que estes jovens apliquem os seus conhecimentos no desenvolvimento de ideias e projetos de dinamização territorial, que possam dar origem à criação e desenvolvimento de futuras empresas. Este pólo de apoio e promoção do empreendedorismo e criação do próprio emprego vai funcionar nas instalações do antigo edíficio da Câmara Municipal de Alfândega da Fé.
Pretende-se assim fixar jovens qualificados e promover a criação de empresas inovadoras com negócios sustentáveis no concelho de Alfândega da Fé.
